The emmii application (hereinafter referred to as: the emmii App) is an online tool developed by Bettr Health B.V. (hereinafter referred to as: Bettr Health Technology) with knowledge of Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research (hereinafter referred to as: Mayo) to support women in their health with a particular focus on women’s health. In order to use the emmii App, it is necessary to process your personal data. Personal data is data that can be traced back to you as a person. 'Processing' of personal data refers to all actions that are possible with your data, for example registering, viewing, storing, supplementing and providing this personal data to third parties.
Bettr Health Technology considers your privacy important and handles your data with care. This Privacy Statement explains this.
This Privacy Statement applies to you if you use the emmii App.
Bettr Health Technology is the (processing) controller for the processing of your personal data. Bettr Health Technology has a Data Protection Officer (DPO) who supervises compliance with the applicable laws and regulations regarding the processing of personal data.
When you use the emmii App, the following personal data about you will be processed:
Your personal data will be recorded so that you can use the emmii App and so that your (medical) data can be shown to you digitally at your request. It is also possible that notifications will be sent to you.
In addition, your personal data will be processed for identification, logging (support), analyzing and improving the emmii App. Data about the device you use to log in and about your session is used for statistical purposes, to improve the emmii App, to detect errors and for security purposes of the emmii App.
If you use the emmii App, you agree to the processing of your personal data as described in this Privacy Statement. If you do not wish to give consent or withdraw your consent, please discontinue the use of the emmii App. Your personal data will then no longer be processed via the emmii App.
Bettr Health Technology will only process your personal data to the extent necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Statement. The data Bettr Health Technology processes about you will be stored for 3 years after your last use of the emmii App, unless it appears that further investigation is necessary (e.g. in the event of unlawful access). After this period, your data will be destroyed.
The services of one or more processors are used to provide the emmii App. These parties are developers, licensors and processors of or within the emmii App. Bettr Health Technology has made agreements with these processors about the careful scope of personal data and security measures. For example, these processors have taken and/or had taken appropriate security measures to limit misuse of and unauthorized access to your personal data. They secure their systems and applications in accordance with the applicable information security standards.
For the purpose of offering the emmii App, processors may also use the services of other third parties. The development of the emmii App, hosting and management can be carried out by a third-party service provider. The processors have made agreements with these service providers about the processing of your personal data, including agreements on access and security.
Only if a processor is legally obliged to do so, it will provide your personal data to supervisory authorities or other competent authorities, for example when this is necessary for an investigation into security incidents.
You can at any time, at reasonable intervals, request access to the personal data that Bettr Health Technology processes about you or has processed via the emmii App. Based on this, you can request Bettr Health Technology to correct or destroy your personal data (or have it corrected). Bettr Health Technology will carefully assess this request in accordance with the legal requirements. If you have provided personal data via the emmii App on the basis of your consent and these personal data are processed digitally, you can request Bettr Health Technology to make these personal data available to you in digital form. In certain cases, you have the right to object to the processing of personal data in the emmii App. If your (privacy) right outweighs other relevant interests, Bettr Health Technology will comply with your request. In addition, you can request Bettr Health Technology to restrict the processing of your data in a number of cases.
To exercise your rights, please contact Bettr Health Technology. Your request will be dealt with within a reasonable period of time. As a result of your request, you may be asked to identify yourself.
Furthermore, anyone whose personal data is processed has the right to file a complaint with Bettr Health Technology or the competent authority, in this case the Dutch Data Protection Authority, in the event of (possible) violations of the applicable law with regard to the protection of personal data. This Privacy Statement may be amended from time to time, without giving reasons. Changes will be made available via the emmii App. At the top of the Privacy Statement, you'll find when it was last updated. You should check regularly for any changes or updates available.
